I Love Naps!

Sorry for the month and a half without a post. First trimester fatigue quickly set in and with a two year old as soon as she is asleep I am out for a nap. And the rest of the day it takes all my energy to keep up with her so I have not made my blogging a priority! So everything is going well. I'm grateful that being tired is the worst that I deal with although I have had some pretty nauseous days mixed with a couple bad headaches and most food sounding just gross. But again I'm very grateful that I'm just feeling icky and not throwing up five times a day. I have started to feel a little better here and there and will be happy to hopefully get the second trimester energy and spunk that I remember having with Noelle. Our first appt. with our midwife was at nine weeks. We have a new midwife this pregnancy and we LOVE her. We weren't able to hear the heartbeat at that appt. (which is normal) and have another appt. on Tuesday with I will be 11 weeks to try again. So thats whats going on with the new baby, Noelle talks about the baby every day and is convinced that she has one in her tummy also.

Speaking of Noelle. Her birthday is a week from tomorrow. We'll be having a bug birthday party. She loved her lady bug invitations and we will have a Caterpillar cake and butterfly decorations. Should be lots of fun. I know most mom's would take this moment about how they can't believe their little girl is turning two but it feels like the baby days were a long time ago and she has been running through toddler hood for a long time now. I might feel different on her actual birthday but so far it doesn't make me sad. I miss the easy (yes, they were easy) days of when she was a baby and we just spent all our time cuddling but I'm just excited to watch her grow and learn and I look forward to her childhood years. I hope that we are up for the challenge, she can have quite the attitude sometimes. So coming up on her birthday she is speaking in full sentences, she loves to tell us about her day and read books to us. She has an amazing memory and loves to look at pictures and remembers almost everyone's names. I know I'm biased but I think she's a very bright two year old.

So everything else is pretty normal. The summer has been busy. Nick and I woke up this morning and he was shocked when I confirmed that we had nothing to do this weekend. So it's been a pretty lazy day. It'll be nice to go to church tomorrow and fellowship with our friends, and I guess it'll be nice to get out of our PJ's. :) Next time I'll have pictures.
